denim daze

Having a chem, physics, and pre-cal test all in the span of two days is just the same as having three different math tests. Nonetheless, I got through it with a lot of late nights studying (ok, well more like panicking and listening to Taylor Swift), and answered prayers for an easy test. With a pro-d on Friday, I can feel my excitement build as the weekend approaches.

NOTE: It was my friend, Angelyn's, first time shooting for me today. Good job, Angelyn. This shout out is for you. Because you asked me to.

I will be 100% honest, this look is inspired by feralcreature, aka Eugenie Grey (she is stunning and everything about her is flawless - fact). With a little bit of changes here and there, I decided to recreate this adorable denim on denim look, starting with pairing my chambray shirt and light blue skinnies. I went for the thickest cardigan I had, and went minimal with the accessories. Lastly, a look is incomplete without a nice pair of heels, so of course, I just had to wear my Chelsea boots.

Close up on double denim and super cozy sweater, woohoo.

The most annoying part of this look is probably the chambray shirt. It will just never stay perfectly tucked in! Sigh, oh well, struggles. At least the overall look isn't too bad.

oversize me

To say that these last few days have been like a roller-coaster ride for me would be a grand understatement. To summarize, I am sick, stressed out half the time and just plain happy the other half, while still managing to have terrible mood swings. The theatre production begins soon, and I am nervous. To top it all off, my tv doesn't have the channel for American Horror Story anymore, so I'll have to stream it or watch it later. Boo.

Despite the fact that it's October, the weather is warmer than it was last week. That hasn't stopped me from layering though. I haven't worn this oversize denim jacket in a while, so I decided to bring that out of the closet, and paired it with a classic plaid shirt and black jeans for a somewhat grunge-y feel. I added my Docs to go with the look as well as for comfort, and finally, just went for my usual watch and rings.

Slightly cringing at my hand right now. Why is it in a claw? Why am I so awkward? Sigh.

Not too sure why, but I just love the masculine look of collars and rolled up sleeves (esp with like a pattern on the cuff.. if that makes sense...) so so so much.

Just some pics of my Docs, because they seriously give any outfit the perfect amount of edge and they're super comfy. Like seriously comfy. Or maybe that's just me since I wear heels 24/7.

basic black

The school week is over and the weekend is upon me, yes! Of course, by the time I post this, it'll already be over but, let's ignore that. Anyways, I ended off the weekday with two quizzes, and a bit of stress, but luckily had a small girls night that cheered me up. We binge ate, gossiped, and laughed our little hearts out. Aaah, there's really no better way to start the weekend.

Usually I'd end the week off a little brighter, but after staying late for theatre crit and then opening the school day with 2 quizzes, it's safe to say I woke up feeling less than par. To match my tired state, I chose a simple all-black outfit. I instinctively grabbed a black t-shirt, skinny jeans and ankle booties as well as my signature two necklaces. For a pop of quirkiness, I grabbed my new bomber jacket filled with cheesy patches. Team Gals anyone?

I absolutely cannot get over how cute the patches on this jacket are. They're so cheesy and really do make me feel like I'm at some Nascar event instead of Chemistry, and just sigh I can't get over it. I really can't.

Here's my attempt at looking waay more "biker chick" than I actually am. Pretty sure I failed big time, and I ended up looking more like Skrillex with ombre, but okay.

vertigo

Yesterday was nothing but go, go go, requiring me to wear flats so my feet don't cry. While classes were really chill, during my free block I went to Metrotown to help a friend deliver resumes and then have some Greek food (mmm, I can still taste the pita bread). I got home around 5, and had to rapidly finish my English before I rushed off to watch a play for Theatre Crit (it was an interpretation of The Rime of the Ancienct Mariner). The play was fantastic (and the lead looked and acted perfectly), and by the time I got back, I could barely keep my eyes open. Bliss.

Knowing I had a long day ahead of me, I only had two things in mind: layers and comfort. For comfort, I went for my classic pair of blue skinny jeans (rolled up, to make it sleeker), and black flats. To make the look a bit edgier, I wore my leather-sleeved military jacket, as well as my black and white spotted crop top. Lastly, I'm addicted to warm circle scarves and just had to add my cream one for a light touch to the outfit.

These flats are cute as heck but absolutely kill my feet. Thank god, I've had enough practice with shoes that make my feet bleed.

Quick picture of the sky after our shoot. It was absolutely stunning, I couldn't resist.

My attempt at making different poses. Ooh, fun (yeah I should never try to make a pose other than a straight face ever again).

für elise

I do not kid when I say that I get the worst anxiety when it comes to singing in front of anyone that is not myself. Yesterday was the Mainstage auditions and sadly, it was time to face my fears. While I'm glad that it's over and done with, I'm still a bit too shaken up to reminisce about it. At least one of my best friends bought me Starbucks to make me feel better. Friends and coffee are great.

Ever since fur has been coming back (with a vengeance), I have not been able to get it out of my head. This summer I finally succumbed and bought a fur vest (don't freak it's not real) while in New York, and I've been patiently waiting for it to get cold enough to wear it. Yesterday was the perfect day, with a breeze yet no rain in the forecast, and I went for a classic look to go with the fur vest. You can't go wrong with a basic white shirt, black jeans, and ankle booties combo. Layered necklaces add a cool feel, yet it still leaves the fur to be a standout item.

This fur is indescribably soft and seriously matches with my hair. Perfect.

I apologize for the blurry picture, but these boots are just too cute.

Just cheesin' (please don't make fun of me).
