grey days
As my Spring Break comes to an end, this is quite a bittersweet time for me. Excitement for new projects to come, but also sadness at the end of a nice two weeks of relaxation.

Piled n' Polished
Hello everyone!
It certainly has been a while hasn't it? I don't want to bore you too much as to why I went on a brief "hiatus," so I'll just quickly summarize it: I lost all my pictures and school left me too busy to replace any of them with new blog posts. However, with applications all done and my extracurricular activities almost taking a pause, I am finally left with time to blog again. Oh happy days!

Tropical Retirement
Hey everyone!
Two things that I absolutely love are rompers and cheesy patterns. So when Urban Outfitters presented this beachy retirement-home (and slightly Wes Anderson-esque) romper to me for a discount price, my heart reached nirvana. I came to realize that there was no better way to wear such a quirky piece for the first time than in one of the most unique cities in the world: London.

London: Shoreditch and Museums
Hello, everyone!
On another gloomy and stressful Sunday, I bring to you another blog post! One of my biggest regrets this summer on my trip was not exploring East London more. I only got to explore the intriguing streets of Shoreditch for one afternoon before I had to bid it adieu. Nevertheless, I still have wonderful memories of both the graffitied walls, and the contrasting pristine walls of the British Museum. So read on, wanderlust lovers, and take a trip with me briefly back to London.

London: Pastel Dream
It's rainy, gloomy days like today that make me miss my days back in Europe. Ironically, the next post I have up is set in an equally gloomy city: London. However, that doesn't make it any less beautiful (although that just might be my romanticizing the feeling of being in a different city). Due to my incredible procrastination skills, I decided to just stop naming these photosets "Travel Diary" and just instead post.

crisp classic
While I usually like to post and document outfits involving certain standout pieces (ie, printed rompers, fancy jackets, etc), I've come to the realization that I should blog more about the outfits that I, in my opinion, neglect.

London Travel Diary - Part 3
I have a terrible tendency of procrastinating when it comes to making travel diaries. Ooops.... anyways! Hopefully I'll be on my A-game these next few days and can just breeze by my remaining London days so I can move on to Paris. Honestly, at this rate it seems like I live in London. Anyways, on with the post!

London Travel Diary - Part 2
Hello everyone!
I am back and I come bearing pictures of Day Two of my London Travel Diary! Funny story, as I was writing and uploading the pictures last night, just as I was one small paragraph away from completing the post I realized... I created it in the wrong format. So, here I am, a day later, trying to re-create this post in a hopefully better and funnier way than yesterday. Anyways, I'm sorry for the delays in posts, but let's go on with the Diary, shall we?

London Travel Diary - Part 1
Hello everyone! It's been a while hasn't it?
A couple of weeks ago I went on a two week trip to London and Paris, and I had the time of my life there. While I am happy to be back in the comfort of my own home though, I do miss being on the road and/or abroad and just having an entire day full of festivities to look forward to. But being home comes with it's own duties and festivities that I must do, including finally creating a travel diary! So, after an unreasonably long time, I have finished rounding up and sorting through my photos to present to you: The London Photo Diary: Part 1! Enjoy, and stay tuned for more!

tryin' the vest i can
Once a week ain't so bad, right? Right. I decided to finally upload these outfit pictures I took a while back, because a) I need to stop procrastinating, and b) I'm going on vacation! I leave in about 4 days from now, and I'd rather not have these photos just lying around, waiting to be posted. So, here's a really brief outfit post, and stay tuned for quite a lot of travel pics to come in the following weeks!

purple haze
After a long hiatus, I am back and hopefully things will stay that way! With exams over and school out of the picture, it feels like a boulder has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm beyond excited for what summer has in store; for me, those summer adventures began a few days ago. I decided to commemorate the beginning of freedom by going out to get tacos with my friend, and us being us, found ourselves at a jazz festival and just wandering around downtown. Aah, the sweet taste of no commitments.

Seattle Style: One Top, Two Ways
Over the Spring Break, I took two and a half days off to visit Seattle with my parents just to venture, shop, eat, and of course take pictures! While I have a Seattle Photo Diary in the works as well, I thought I might as well split it up into two posts and create a Seattle Outfit Diary too. So, hope you enjoy these two outfits that I packed for my brief visit.
PS. Sorry for the bad quality!!

coffee shop classic
I spent this weekend in Seattle, hence I couldn't update as much blogging done as I wanted to despite having pictures already pre-taken. Anyways, I will upload a Seattle Photo Diary, as well as a double outfit entry pretty soon, but for now a simple outfit entry I took two days before my trip will just have to do.

So, it's been a while. After what felt like the longest and most stressful week of my life, is two weeks of (hopefully) utter bliss and I cannot wait. Yesterday marked the first of what I hope are many adventures to come during this break. So, let's let the good times roll.

dark desires
I have been dying to get a cozy sweater dress that I can just lounge around in and also dress up for a day out. So, when I saw this Zara one on Boxing Day, it's safe to say that I was ecstatic.

a belated christmas eve
On Christmas Eve, two of my best friends and I decided to visit the Van Dusen Festival of Lights and bask in the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, most of my pictures ended up quite blurry and it simply did not compare to how beautiful it looked in person. Nonetheless, here are just a few pictures that I wanted to share with you guys, even though the holiday season is technically over.

have yourself a merry little christmas
It is finally that time of year again, and while Vancouver did not have a white Christmas this year (currently still a bit upset about that), it's still the season to be jolly in festive colours.
PS. To make up for my lack of posts these last two months, this one is extra long. Yay!

Well, it certainly has been a while, hasn't it? Due to the upcoming holiday season (and the earlier dark nights), I have been either too lazy to come up with nice outfits, or too busy to document them!

nightcrawler
Movies I've Seen in 2014 - Nightcrawler
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal
Supporting: Bill Paxton, Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed
Directed by: Dan Gilroy
Plot: Desperate for work, Lou Bloom stumbles upon the art of "nightcrawling" otherwise known as filming for late-night L.A. crime. Aided by a news veteran, he soon finds success, but with it comes a deep spiral into madness, blurring the lines between work and ethics.
REVIEW
Gyllenhaal has been on fire with his movie roles lately. Choosing instead to play meatier, darker characters rather than star in the latest blockbuster (sorry, Prince of Persia) Gyllenhaal has clearly found his place when immersing himself in the creepiest and/or most complex character that he can find. He proves his chops in Nightcrawler, a well-written and directed film about sociopath, Lou Bloom, and his escapades in L.A. crime. While there happen to be some plot holes, and there could be more character development and back story, it's clear that this is Gyllenhaal's rodeo. While it may not be an award season contender, it's safe to say that Gyllenhaal has made his mark as a talented actor that's only just begun to find his footing.
